Are you developing a technology that could be adopted in the US?

Get knowledge and key insights by participating in a learning course prepared and facilitated in cooperation with Innovation Center Denmark in Boston.

You have the opportunity to take part in a facilitated learning course consisting of a three-steps program – where you get insights about whether the U.S. market is ready for your healthcare technology and whether you prepare for the US market in the right way. The course will primarily focus on digital health in healthcare centers.

As a participant, you will have the opportunity to build and extend your network in Boston.

Boston is a global hotspot and one of the hub in the United States leading the digital healthcare transformation. The state of Massachusetts, where Boston is located, has more than 80 hospitals and 15,000 doctors. In 2018 alone, 4.8 billion USD wereraised by Life Science companies. So Boston is the right place to prepare for the US market.

It is my expectation that a company that has completed the three-steps program and received sparing from American specialists both on their solution/products, their  business model, potential proof of concept and  the best way to enter the US market when the company is ready. And in addition they also get concrete contacts in hand, which ensures that the next step will be in the right direction, says Karen Lindegaard, senior consultant at Welfare Tech.

Step 1: Webinars x 3
The course consists of three steps. Initially, there are three webinars that zoom in on the U.S. health care system. For starters, you’ll get an overview of the U.S. healthcare system, then the unique ecosystem in Boston and finally you in Boston, USA. Here’s advice on how to pitch and sell your product in the United States.

1st webinar: The U.S. health care system – Thursday June 17th from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm (DK time)

2nd webinar: The Ecosystem of Boston (digital health) – Wednesday June 24th from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm (DK time)

3rd webinar: You in Boston: how to pitch in the United States – Wednesday July 1st from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm (DK time)

Step 2: Individual sparring session

The individual interviews will take place after the first webinar – Follow us on this page for more information.

Step 3: Four-day innovation camp in Boston
The innovation camp to Boston will be planned based on the specific needs of the participants. It is therefore an advantage to be part of all the activities and thus to be able to influence the final program in Boston.

However, it is clear that there will be both visits and knowledge exchanges from healthcare providers, academics institutions, experts, public and private sectors.

To participate in the innovation camp, you must either be a member of Welfare Tech or Danish Healtech (applicable to Nordic companies).

The innovation camp to Boston is planned to be implemented the fall of 2020 due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The price for the camp in Boston has not yet been set.
