What do the medical technologies of tomorrow look like? Who should you chat with to get the latest MedTech insights? At Medico Bazar 2020 you might find out when more than 100 exhibitors gather at DTU to present their newest projects and devices.
On March 12, DTU opens the doors to this year’s biggest networking event in health tech, Medico Bazar. Medico Bazar will exhibit the newest devices, projects and prototypes at different stages of development, as well as provide information on entrepreneurship opportunities, project development and financing. Besides showcasing innovative projects, participants also have the chance to attend matchmaking sessions to meet potential investors or collaboration partners.
Medico Bazar targets both companies, health professionals, researchers, students, advisors, investors and interest organisations.
Networking and so much more
The event takes place for the ninth time in 2020 and has previously been a big success with more than 500 visitors and 125 exhibition stands. One of the greatest draws of Medico Bazar is that the whole ecosystem within MedTech is gathered in one place – including researchers, industries, startups and clinicians:
You meet those who, like ourselves, develop technologies, and then you meet those who are capable of creating the regulatory assessment of the medical devices you create, says senior researcher at DTU Nutech, Lars René Lindvold.
This year, the matchmaking sessions for participants seeking collaboration partners, takes place again. At Medico Bazar 2018, 140 meetings took place, and many new connections were formed:
It (the matchmaking sessions) gives us a super strong network that we would not have had access to otherwise. We need investors, partners in our team and knowledge sharing. I have gotten many great connections that are actually valuable to me, says Marie Lommer Bagger, founder of the start-up company Measurelet.
A hub of innovation
A strong networking scene is one thing – the innovative technologies at display is another. Among last Medico Bazar’s exhibitors, diverse technologies such as intelligent masks for relieving anxiety, a compact joint for 3D spherical motion and a device for more efficient detection of cancer cells, were at display. The bazar is therefore a great way to be inspired and get ahead on the newest MedTech inventions.
Medico Bazar is the one annual event to see the direction of medical innovation in Denmark. It’s also where business is made in the company of open-minded colleagues, says CEO at Livatek, Jesper Lindholt.
